The Nightlife Of New York: Places To Go
Everyone knows that there are plenty of places to have a good time at when visiting New York, but many would like to know where some of the best and hottest nightlife places are, too. From lavish clubs to posh dance halls, there is certainly something for everyone in the City that Never Sleeps.
First up is the Alphabet Lounge, which features live performances from talented local bands and tasty drinks from the local bartenders. The goal at this lounge is to create a space that grows with its neighborhood and envelops a sense of community while still throwing the best nightly bashes and parties. The décor here has been described as organic and chic, with a handcrafted decoupage DJ booth that displays ‘45s from a bygone era. Much of the décor features the murals of local painters and artwork of local artists, giving Alphabet Lounge a truly original feel that honors the East Village history of music.
Element is one of the most talked-about places for night life in the entire city. There are soaring ceilings in the Main Room, candlelit brick walls in the Mezzanine, and Romanesque archways in the Vault. The three levels have three full-service bars, seductive and sultry lounge spaces, and the Main Room is all about one thing and one thing only: dancing. Built in the late 19th century, this one-of-a-kind club is like none other anywhere in the city of New York or in the country, for that matter.
Next up on the list of New York nightlife must-do’s is Highbar. This club is a breezy spot that sits sixteen stories above the city. The famous terrace provides clubbers with day beds, love seats, and a UFO chair by the famous design firm Asobi. Highbar is famous for its early evening cocktails and the party gradually moves from the upstairs lounge to the downstairs VIP room where guests enjoy the view of the city looking out of floor-to-ceiling windows. Celebrities, socialites, and others escape to the top of New York here at the Highbar.
Finally, the city of New York boasts having the Bell House under its skyline. This old 1920s warehouse is as chic as chic can be, with chocolate brown couches, a large mural by local artist Gonzalo Papantonakis, and a candle-lit fireplace. It is a two-room music club that sits in a building that has been home to a printing press and an old shipping company. You can find out more about New York nightlif
