Can anyone provide step by step instr. on how to decoupage plastic switchplates?

My sister tried so many ways and nothing worked. I hear it's simple and easy…maybe step by step would be better? Thx!

Go to a major craft supply outlet, Michael's Hobby Lobby, etc. Purchase MODPODGE. It smells very funky but will dry clear and you can use it as a glue to secure the pictures down as well. Apply several coats to seal. Let adequate dryign time between coats.
